Backcountry hunting and other high-exertion mountain pursuits demand more from your outerwear. You need protection from the elements but also gear that moves with you and breathes easily without weighing you down. We designed this lightweight technical jacket with GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER technology in areas that demand the most protection while incorporating body-mapped four-way stretch panels in areas demanding movement and breathability like the underarms and back.

We also needed a solution that would shield us from heat-sapping wind while offering enough breathability to keep us dry and comfortable throughout active pursuits—essentially, we needed a layer we could put on in the morning and not think about for the rest of the day. So we made the Mountain Evo 100% windproof in key areas such as the chest and hood to prevent the wind from sapping precious core warmth and energy. Meanwhile, carefully mapped 4-way stretch panels at the back and underarms let you dump heat quickly and move without restriction. By strategically combining these elements, we created a jacket that maintains comfort through changing weather conditions and varying activity levels—a jacket you never have to take off.
